About the Forum

About the Forum.

Empowering voices, challenging perspectives, and creating pathways where diversity and social mobility drive a stronger, fairer future for all.

Our story

A platform born from a moment, built for a movement.

The Apprenticeship Diversity and Social Mobility Forum (ADSMF) is a thought leadership platform established to challenge perceptions, promote inclusion, and advance social mobility within apprenticeships and skills development.

Founded in July 2020 by the BAME Apprenticeship Alliance — now known as the Multicultural Apprenticeship Alliance — the Forum was born during the COVID-19 pandemic as a virtual gathering of leaders, practitioners, and policymakers dedicated to improving opportunities for all.

Since its inception, ADSMF has become a hub for influential conversations, exploring how education, skills, and employment can drive greater equity, diversity, and inclusion across the UK workforce.
