Speaker Announcement: Professor Dr Nisreen Ameen Joins the Inclusion and AI Forum

The Apprenticeship Diversity and Social Mobility Forum is delighted to welcome Professor Dr Nisreen Ameen as a confirmed speaker for our forthcoming online Forum on Inclusion and AI.

Professor Dr Ameen is a Senior Lecturer and Associate Professor in Digital Marketing at Royal Holloway, University of London, and Director of the University's Digital Organisation and Society Research Centre.

An internationally recognised scholar and policy expert, her work focuses on artificial intelligence, digital transformation, responsible innovation and the changing skills needs of the workforce. She examines how organisations and policymakers can realise the benefits of AI while addressing governance, risk, inclusion and organisational change.

Connecting research, policy and practice

Professor Dr Ameen has contributed to work involving Skills England, the Department for Work and Pensions and the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology. Her research includes a British Academy fellowship focused on inequalities in AI skills across the UK.

She has also engaged with organisations including LinkedIn, Oracle, Amazon, Bloomberg, Roche and Toyota, bringing together academic evidence, industry experience and public-policy priorities.

Her contribution to the Forum will help delegates consider:

• The AI skills employers and employees will increasingly need
• Inequalities in access to AI education and training
• How organisations can prepare their workforces for change
• Responsible and inclusive approaches to AI adoption
• The role of leadership, governance and organisational readiness

Professor Dr Ameen joins Robin Christopherson MBE, Head of Digital Inclusion at AbilityNet, as part of a growing programme of expert speakers.
